With just four Days to my first match of the year on Saturday, I am starting to check my tackle and that I have all I will need on the day.
Last night I had a chat with one of the venue regulars for some upto date info and so I'm looking forward to a good day on Saturday. We are fishing Oasis lake at Lindholme, this is a canal type lake with about 60 pegs, it is around 16mtr wide and 4-5ft deep in the middle, there are plenty of fish to go at with F1's, barbel, skimmers and roach etc.

I have sorted my box out and checked my nets, just got to dig my pole out for the first time since November last year. I will keep it simple with just pellet, corn and meat on my side tray and hopefully a few fish in the net.

The floats are still on going spent yesterday gluing a few hundred which I will sort out tomorrow when the glue has dry'd.

After the fishing and all my tackle is back in storage and out of the way I will then carry on with the floats still got loads to do, and in-between that start getting my tackle ready for the festival I'm fishing at the end of April at Lindholme.

Things are starting to get busy

Floats (Pellet wagglers)

Intro

It's been a couple of years since I touch my last blog and I have let it lapse and so I have decided to start again from scratch as the best way forwards.

I am 42 and have been fishing for over 30 years, in 1999 thing for me took a big change in my Life I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and now have to use a wheelchair to get around , but thats life and we get on with it.

Although the last 10 years have seen a lot of changes in what I can and can't do the love of fishing has not diminished and I still get out on the bank when I can. I have had to change the way and where I fish but thats not a problem I still love it. I can no longer go on my own and need help to and from my peg but once I'n there away I go.

Just over a year ago a friend of mine (also in a wheelchair) asked if I wanted to help him making and selling pellet wagglers (floats), why not I've nothing better to do as a 9-5 jobs is impossible for me and so we started to make our plans to go into business. Finally we are getting somewhere and in the next few weeks we hope to be running as a business.

In between the float making we will both still get out on the bank and fish a few matches, I already have a few lines up for this year, including a 5 day festival at a Local venue (Lindholme lakes), I also have a few charity matches at the same venue including at the end of July one for SSAFA, I am running my self as they have helped my since my diagnosis.
